Volleyball Recap: Monona Grove Takes a Loss

Monona Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DeForest Norskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Norskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Sedona Paprocki paced Monona Grove's offense, picking up five kills. Paprocki got some help from Madison Stevens and her nine assists. Arizona Veith and Payton Hanson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Monona Grove now has a losing record of 15-16. As for DeForest, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Monona Grove has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Watertown on the 11th. As for DeForest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Baraboo on the 11th.
