Soccer Recap: Kenwood's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Intrinsic kept up with Kenwood until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Broncos put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 6-1 victory. Considering Kenwood have won five games by more than four goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Intrinsic from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Amelia Berg led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win (which was Kenwood's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those six contests. As for Intrinsic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenwood will take on Lindblom at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Intrinsic, they will square off against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
