Basketball Recap: Sedgwick Piles Up the Points Against Goessel

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Medicine Lodge, Sedgwick was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They really took it to the Goessel Bluebirds for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-16 win. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for the Cardinals this season.

Sedgwick's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Goessel, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

The future could be bright for both Sedgwick and Goessel: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Sedgwick will look to extend Inman's six-game losing streak when the meet on Tuesday. Similarly, Goessel will try to hand Peabody-Burns their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
