Volleyball Recap: Marshfield Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Marshfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the West Plains Zizzers by a score of 2-1. The Bluejays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Zizzers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Marshfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Marshfield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for West Plains, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshfield will welcome Strafford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Plains, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Poplar Bluff at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
