After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lordsburg, Cloudcroft was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Mescalero Apache Chiefs. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now won eight in a row.

Cloudcroft had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-14, 25-15, 25-18.

Cloudcroft's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Mescalero Apache, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cloudcroft will face off against rival Mesilla Valley Christian School at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Mescalero Apache is set to challenge their familiar foe Capitan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
