Baseball Recap: Coleman Comes Up Short

Coleman extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 5-10. They fell 12-7 to the Benzie Central Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 16-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Aden Aultman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Logan Glazier was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

As for Benzie Central, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.

On Benzie Central's side, the team relied heavily on Eli Jenkins, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Jenkins a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matthew Ockert, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Coleman beat Benzie Central by a score of 16-6 later that day.
