Basketball Recap: Ponte Vedra Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Tyler Kroog and Maddox Palmer + How To Watch

If Ponte Vedra was riding high fresh off their 76-45 takedown of Wolfson on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sharks fell 57-53 to the Bishop Kenny Crusaders on Tuesday. The Sharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Ponte Vedra's loss came despite strong showings from Maddox Palmer and Tyler Kroog. Palmer went 8-for-12 on his way to 23 points and eight rebounds, while Kroog shot 44% from the field to rack up 20 points. Palmer's big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Lucas Desa was another key player, putting up two points and six boards.

Ponte Vedra's record now sits at 2-2. As for Bishop Kenny, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Ponte Vedra will face off against University Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop Kenny, they will take on First Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
