Softball Recap: Norton Sets Scoring Season-High Against Cloverleaf

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norton). They blew past the Cloverleaf Colts 19-1 on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Panthers with their most commanding win of the season.

Tatum Harris was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. Harris was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Womble, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Dakota Graham, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three runs and one double.

Norton's win bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Cloverleaf, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.
