It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Arab ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Brooks Lions 5-4. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.

Arab's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Hudson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI were Hudson's first of the season.

Arab's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Brooks, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coincidentally, Arab and Brooks will both be playing Lawrence County the next time they take the field. Brooks will head out to face Lawrence County at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, while Arab will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
