Richmond Hill hadn't done well against Lowndes recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Richmond Hill Wildcats had just enough and edged the Lowndes Vikings out 42-39. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Vikings last Tuesday, they had to take a 54-40 loss.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aryana Thomas, who posted 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. What's more, Thomas also posted a 57% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shamiaha Webb, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Richmond Hill's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Lowndes, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-4.

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Richmond Hill is facing Valdosta at the right time seeing as Valdosta is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Lowndes, they have already played their next matchup, a 45-43 loss against Camden County on the 8th.
