Basketball Recap: South Newton Takes a Loss

South Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Donovan Wildcats, falling 47-16. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 33-28 back in November of 2024.

South Newton's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Donovan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

South Newton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-16 defeat against Donovan/St. Anne on the 8th. As for Donovan, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against North Newton at 5:30 p.m. on January 28th.
