Soccer Game Preview: Fort Collins vs. Windsor

The Fort Collins Lambkins will take on the Windsor Wizards at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Collins will be strutting in after a win while Windsor will be coming in after a defeat.

Fort Collins headed into their last game having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Greeley West let them put that streak behind them. The Lambkins' defense stepped up to hand the Spartans a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Elyse McGinnis was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Windsor's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Fossil Ridge by a score of 2-1. Windsor haven't had much luck with Fossil Ridge recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Fort Collins, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6-1.

Fort Collins might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Windsor in their previous meeting back in April of 2019. Can the Lambkins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
