Volleyball Recap: Palmer Ridge Comes Up Short

Palmer Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to The Classical Academy Titans. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Palmer Ridge couldn't get the win, but they sure gave The Classical Academy a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 30-28, 25-19.

Makenzie Pears paced Palmer Ridge's offense, picking up 12 kills. Pears got some help from Melanie Pierce and her 23 assists. Pierce was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Palmer Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for The Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Palmer Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Air Academy on the 23rd. As for The Classical Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Manitou Springs on the 22nd.
