After both having extra time off, the Cotter Ramblers and the Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Cotter is coming into the  match hot, having won their last nine games.

If La Crescent wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cotter, they should've done a better job of containing  Sydney Repinski. The Ramblers blew past the Lancers 3-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to  Repinski, who  had 18  digs and two  aces. She has been hot recently, having  posted ten or more  digs the last three times she's  played.
 The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18,  25-15.
Meanwhile, Plainview-Elgin-Millville didn't have quite enough to beat St. Charles on Tuesday and fell  3-2.
 Plainview-Elgin-Millville actually scored more points across those five sets (90-89), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 8-25, 16-25, 25-20,  15-5.
 Cotter's win bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record  this season.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Thursday's  matchup:  Cotter has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 9.3  aces per game. However, it's not like Plainview-Elgin-Millville struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 5.7  aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Cotter took their  victory against Plainview-Elgin-Millville  in their previous meeting  back in September by a conclusive  3-0 score. Will the Ramblers repeat their success,  or do  the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
