Softball Recap: Medina Valley Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Medina Valley entered their tilt with Alexander on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-2 back in March.

Kylah Martinez looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kynlee Crisp was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Arielle Chichester, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Medina Valley's record is now 14-8. As for Alexander, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-17.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Medina Valley will face off against rival United at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Alexander is set to challenge their familiar foe Eagle Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
