Pine Grove hadn't beaten Blue Mountain on the road since April 26, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Cardinals have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jamie Dinger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Callee Leffler was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Blue Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Pine Grove and Blue Mountain should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Cardinals (ranked 19th) will meet Panther Valley (ranked 304th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Blue Mountain will face off against Our Lady of Lourdes Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (79 vs. 488).
