Cashion has gone a perfect 4-0 against Fairview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wildcats will host the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Cashion's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Minco with a sharp 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Garret Mckeever looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Aidan Berry and Zach Sisson did most of the damage at the plate: Berry scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while Sisson scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Sisson has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Nabavi, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Cashion was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Minco only posted a batting average of .154.
Meanwhile, Fairview waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Terriers as they made off with an 11-3 victory.
Gavin Ewing made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He is becoming a predictor of Fairview's success: when he allows at most three hits the team is 2-1 (and 4-8 when he doesn't). Ewing was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan McEachern, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for Fairview: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Wyatt Schmitz was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Cashion pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Fairview, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Everything went Cashion's way against Fairview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Cashion made off with a 15-5 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
