League recap: Webster Christian receives boost in rankings after winning week

Behind a 1-0 record over the past week, Webster Christian made the biggest jump in the New York state rankings, all the way from 647 to 529.

The Warriors currently sit at the top of Section 5 Private Parochial with a mark of 14-3 overall and 5-1 in the league. Northstar Christian Academy sits one game back in second, with a 4-2 record in league play.

Lima Christian's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only two hits and two walks, both of which led the league. The Saints' pitchers have been charged with only 64 hits and have struck out 87 batters. Robert Schmidt is tops on the staff with 33 Ks.
