The Tallmadge Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Perry Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tallmadge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Tallmadge barely beat Copley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Indians on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Larissa Taylor spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Leila Staszak was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Aubrey Almond was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Tallmadge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Dalton hit Perry with a four-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 5-3. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tallmadge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Perry, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13-1.

Tallmadge came up short against Perry in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, falling 3-0. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
