Poth is 7-2 against Stockdale since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pirates will venture away from home to take on the Brahmas at 7:00 p.m. Poth is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Poth is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Goliad just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Tigers. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Pirates, who until this contest were averaging 3.38 runs allowed.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stockdale). Everything went their way against Nixon-Smiley on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Brahmas in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Stockdale's victory bumped their record up to 10-11-1. As for Poth, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 16-5.

Poth beat Stockdale 8-4 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
