Baseball Recap: Grafton Takes a Loss

Grafton fell victim to Bridgeport and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Indians. The loss continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost seven in a row.

Grafton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Fletcher, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Aiden Smith also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Grafton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Bridgeport, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grafton will host Lewis County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bridgeport, they will welcome Wheeling Park at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
