Volleyball Recap: Telluride Beats Mancos for Their Third Straight Win

Telluride hadn't done well against Mancos recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Miners walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bluejays. The win was familiar territory for the Miners, who have now won three contests in a row.

The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16.

Telluride's offense was headlined by Ella Metheny and Ella-Rose Aplin, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Hazel Noel and her 17 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Telluride's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Mancos, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Telluride will challenge rival Ouray at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mancos is set to take on their familiar foe Ignacio at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
