Basketball Game Preview: The Meadows School Mustangs vs. Sports Leadership & Management Bulls

After both having extra time off, The Meadows School Mustangs and the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The Meadows School is headed into the game having just posted their biggest win since January 22, 2024 back in December of 2024. Everything went their way against Doral Academy Red Rock as The Meadows School made off with a 51-27 victory.

The Meadows School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evie De Wit led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most points De Wit has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ej Nwapa, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

The Meadows School was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management beat San Diego 49-40 last Saturday. Given the Bulls' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 35th in Nevada, while the Cavers are ranked 653rd in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sports Leadership & Management now has a winning record of 6-5. As for The Meadows School, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

The Meadows School couldn't quite finish off Sports Leadership & Management when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 40-37. Can The Meadows School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
