Football Game Preview: Jacksonville Golden Eagles vs. Ramsay Rams + Official Tickets

The Jacksonville Golden Eagles will square off against the Ramsay Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Jacksonville lost to Anniston at home by a 18-3 margin. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, Jacksonville's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Ramsay waltzed into their matchup two weeks ago with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Dragons 27-7. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Rams were the (much) better team in the second half.

Jacksonville better keep an eye on Jayden Martin. He was instrumental in Ramsay's win, rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also catching one score. Martin is becoming a predictor of the Rams' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 5-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Ramsay was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Ramsay's record is now 6-3. As for Jacksonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Jacksonville has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 217.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ramsay struggles in that department as they've been averaging 208.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
