Basketball Recap: Fort Hill Takes Down Southern in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fort Hill walked away with it. They secured a 62-58 W over the Southern Rams on Tuesday. The Sentinels haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Southern's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jared Haskiell, who posted 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Upole, who had 14 points and seven boards.

Fort Hill's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Southern, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-11.

Looking ahead, Fort Hill will be playing at home against Mountain Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Hill has given up an average of 55.6 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Southern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
