Basketball Game Preview: Prairie View Thunderhawks vs. Wheat Ridge Farmers

Having just played yesterday, the Prairie View Thunderhawks will head out on the road to face off against the Wheat Ridge Farmers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prairie View is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Prairie View is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Mountain Range on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Prairie View lost 73-50 to Mountain Range. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Thunderhawks have suffered since December 7, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wheat Ridge). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Northglenn 74-72. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Farmers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Prairie View now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Wheat Ridge, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Prairie View didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Wheat Ridge in their previous meeting back in February of 2018, but they still walked away with a 64-58 victory. Will Prairie View repeat their success, or does Wheat Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
