Baseball Recap: Evergreen Valley Cougars vs. Ann Sobrato Bulldogs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Leland, Evergreen Valley was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Ann Sobrato Bulldogs 7-5. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 9-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Evergreen Valley got a great performance from Giovanni De Vincentis as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, De Vincentis posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
