Basketball Recap: Severn Run Falls Despite Big Games from Ricco Gough and Caleb Adamah

On Saturday, Severn Run came up short against Crofton and fell 64-51.

Caleb Adamah and Ricco Gough certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Adamah went 5 for 6 en route to 13 points, while Gough posted eight points and eight rebounds. Gough is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Anderson Ellis was another key player, putting up six points and five steals.

Dylan Shafer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crofton, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Shafer a new career-high in boards. Ethan Collett also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Severn Run's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Crofton, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6.

Severn Run wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-64 victory against Annapolis on the 14th. As for Crofton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-63 defeat against Huntingtown on the 13th.
