Softball Recap: Loyalton Comes Up Short

Loyalton's tournament run continued when they took on Trinity on Friday. Loyalton fell just short of Trinity by a score of 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Grizzlies have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Loyalton and nudges their season record down to 1-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 3-2 Chester (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70% over those games). As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Loyalton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-3 defeat against Modoc on the 21st. As for Trinity, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-3 loss against Chester on the 21st.
