Football Recap: Mt. Baker Skates Past Hockinson with Ease

Mt. Baker won the last time they faced Hockinson and things went their way on Friday too. The Mountaineers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hawks 37-7. Given the Mountaineers' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Hawks are ranked 220th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mt. Baker has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 19 points this season. As for Hockinson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Baker will host Bellevue at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hockinson, they will welcome Ridgefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
