Branson Mitchell of Mancos ran for the longest rushing play in A-8 West - Western (8 Man) this season against La Veta last week. Mitchell scampered for 95 yards on the play and finished with 241 on the day as his team lost to the Redskins.
Norwood extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Sangre de Cristo, 75-32. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Mancos' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Casey Rohweder threw for 64 yards and Conner Jankowski had 37 yards receiving. Steven Rohweder helped Mancos' passing attack out by catching two balls for 20 yards.
Dove Creek's Dalton Randolph and Tyler Ebberts have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Randolph has thrown for 1108 yards this season, while Ebberts, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 20 catches for 392 yards. Mitchell from Kyle Graff's team leads the league in rushing with 2152 yards.
The Bulldogs and Sanford played the most hotly contested game in A-8 West - Western (8 Man) this week, with the Bulldogs eventually emerging with a 30-25 victory. Randolph threw for 52 yards and ran for 158 yards in the win.
