Preview: Harrison County Thorobreds vs. Blazer Tomcats
Harrison County has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Blazer Tomcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Harrison County strolled past Garrard County with points to spare, taking the game 46-31.
Kaydon Custard was his usual excellent self, rushing for 218 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 239 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes. Custard really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. Jashon Lewis also helped out with an impressive 163 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Blazer's game on Friday was all tied up 35-35 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Simon Kenton by a score of 49-42.
Harrison County's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Blazer, their victory was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1.
Harrison County might still be hurting after the 27-6 loss they got from Blazer in their previous matchup back in November of 2018. Can Harrison County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
