The Delaware Christian Eagles will square off against the Franklin Heights Falcons at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Delaware Christian's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Franklin Heights has been banged up by 16 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
On Thursday, Delaware Christian made easy work of Northside Christian and carried off a 24-6 win. Considering the Eagles have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Katie Hobbs and Ashlyn McCoy did most of the damage at the plate: Hobbs went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI, while McCoy went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave Hobbs a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anna Carroll, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Delaware Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Franklin Heights lost 14-8 to Grandview Heights on Wednesday.
Franklin Heights got a massive performance out of Ryleigh Daniel, who went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. McKayla Lemon was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Delaware Christian's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-5. As for Franklin Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.
Saturday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Delaware Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .547. However, it's not like Franklin Heights struggles in that department as they've averaged .514. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
