Softball Game Preview: Fremont Eagles vs. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets

The Fremont Eagles will take on the Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets in a tournament on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Fremont blew Fairfield out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Fairfield got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 5-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against East Noble, falling 18-2.

Raelyn Koesters made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Fremont was able to grind out a solid victory over Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 8-4. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cadets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
