Softball Game Preview: Chino Valley Cougars vs. Parker Broncs

The Chino Valley Cougars will take on the Parker Broncs at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Chino Valley's offense. They lost 10-0 to Tonopah Valley on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against River Valley, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Broncs have lost by exactly ten runs.

Brooklyn Daniels made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Chino Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Parker, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Parker's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Chino Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Parker, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will Chino Valley keep running through batters, or will the Broncs buck the trend?

Chino Valley got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Parker by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
