Soccer Game Preview: Salado vs. Lumberton

The Salado Eagles will face off against the Lumberton Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Salado sitting on six straight wins and Lumberton on seven.

Salado is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Navasota, sneaking past 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Salado were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Lumberton beat La Vega 4-2 on Thursday.

Lumberton hit La Vega with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Andrew Hansen (2), Erik Beltran, and Wes Stewart.

Salado's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-3-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Lumberton, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5-2.
