Basketball Recap: Sundance Piles Up the Points Against Moorcroft

In Thursday's Canine Competition, Sundance came out on top. They blew past the Moorcroft Wolves 56-22 on Thursday. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season.

Jaylin Mills was her usual excellent self, going 7-for-16 en route to 22 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Hailey Karol, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Despite the loss, Moorcroft saw an underclassman step up: sophomore London McCrea went 6-for-10 on her way to 15 points. What's more, McCrea also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024.

Sundance's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Moorcroft, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sundance and Moorcroft will both be playing Big Horn the next time they take the court. Sundance will head out to face Big Horn at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Moorcroft will host them at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
