Baseball Recap: Peoria Comes Up Short

Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 30-0 to the Centennial Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 on Monday.

Peoria's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Centennial, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peoria will face off against Urbana at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Centennial, they will challenge Oakwood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Comets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.58 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
