Softball Recap: Greeneview Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fairbanks, Greeneview was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Cedarville Indians by a score of 11-7. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Greeneview let Lilly Reichley and Bella Sutton run wild. Reichley scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Sutton scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Those three hits gave Reichley a new career-high. Mya Simpson was another key player, going 1-for-5 with one triple and one run.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Greeneview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They got five more hits than Cedarville's also-impressive total of 11.

Greeneview now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Cedarville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Greeneview will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cedarville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
