Baseball Recap: Badin Drops Season-High Score on Archbishop Alter

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Badin). They put the hurt on the Archbishop Alter Knights with a sharp 15-0 victory on Thursday. The Rams not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 16, 2024.

Brooks Treadway looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on James Brink, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in runs (two). Another player making a difference was Cooper Ollis, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Badin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Archbishop Alter only posted a batting average of .167.

Badin now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Archbishop Alter, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Badin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
