League recap: ESPINDOLA overpowering for Downey in past week

David Espindola was the best pitcher in San Gabriel Valley this week, leading Downey. He picked up one win and seven strikeouts.

Paramount (18-9, 10-5) is riding a league-best 6-game winning streak. One of those wins came in the past week, a 4-2 victory over California.

The Vikings' pitchers were the toughest in the league on opposing hitters this week, giving up only six hits. For the entire year, Downey has given up only 128 base hits.
