Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for North Penn

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Penn had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Coatesville Red Raiders, sneaking past 4-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won three contests in a row.

Trevor Lugara spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Mason Coyne was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ben Grattan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

North Penn's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Coatesville, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.

As of now, neither North Penn nor the Red Raiders have any future games scheduled.
