Volleyball Recap: Alhambra Takes a Loss

Alhambra lost against McClintock back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lions came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alhambra was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-21.

Fabricio Mendoza paced Alhambra's offense, picking up ten kills. Mendoza got some help from Cesar Segovia and his 14 assists.

Alhambra's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for McClintock, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Alhambra is set to face off against their familiar foe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, McClintock will take on rival Metro Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
