Basketball Game Preview: Sky View Bobcats vs. Ridgeline Riverhawks

Sky View has won four straight games at home, while Ridgeline has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Sky View Bobcats will welcome the Ridgeline Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Wednesday, Sky View strolled past Logan with points to spare, taking the game 64-47. That looming 64-47 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bobcats yet this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgeline). They managed a 73-67 win over Mountain Crest on Wednesday. Given the Riverhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Mustangs are ranked 94th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sky View has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Ridgeline, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

Sky View was able to grind out a solid win over Ridgeline when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 64-56. Does Sky View have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ridgeline turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
