Softball Game Preview: Clarksburg Rockets vs. Middleton Tigers

The Clarksburg Rockets will head out to square off against the Middleton Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Clarksburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Clarksburg is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since March 10th on Thursday. They skirted past Bradford 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Middleton was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They lost 12-1 to West Carroll. The Tigers have struggled against the War Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Middleton's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Clarksburg, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Everything went Clarksburg's way against Middleton when the teams last played last Monday, as Clarksburg made off with a 17-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
