Volleyball Recap: Alhambra Has No Trouble Against Concord

After losing to Concord the last time they met, Alhambra decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bears on Tuesday.

While Alhambra won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

Zarven Francisco paced Alhambra's offense, picking up 15 kills. Francisco got some help from Miles Texon and his 33 assists. Finally, Jake Hernandez kept Alhambra's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Alhambra's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Concord, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.

Alhambra wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Benicia on the 1st. Concord does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
