Softball Game Preview: Blooming Grove Lions vs. Grandview Zebras

For the second straight game, Blooming Grove will face off against Grandview. The Lions will square off against the Zebras at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Blooming Grove 2.7, Grandview 1.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Blooming Grove had been on a five-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Grandview put an end to it on Tuesday. The Lions came up short against the Zebras, falling 13-0. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Zebras: they've now lost nine in a row.

The win (which was Grandview's seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Blooming Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-3.
