Football Recap: Orange Comes Up Short at Home Against Southeast Alamance + How To Watch

Orange unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Southeast Alamance Stallions on Friday, falling 55-22. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Orange's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Moody, who threw for 166 yards and a pair of TDs on only six passes. A healthy portion of Moody's aerial production (86 yards to be exact) went to Owen Phillips, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

DJ Callis had a dynamite game For Southeast Alamance., rushing for 87 yards and three scores on only nine carries, while also picking up 68 receiving yards and one touchdown.all of that, receiving production came thanks to one massive catch Tyler Jackson was another key player, throwing for 178 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 92.3% of his passes.

Coming up, Orange will be playing in front of their home fans against Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeast Alamance, they are taking a road trip to square off against Seaforth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
