Soccer Recap: Guyer Extends Winning Streak to Three

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Guyer). Everything went their way against the Austin Maroons on Thursday as the Guyer Wildcats made off with a 5-2 win. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly three goals.

They hit Austin with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Camila Mujica (2), McKynzi Hailey, Natalya Carnell, and Keira Floyd.

The victory was the third in a row for Guyer, bringing their record for this year to 3-1-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for Austin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3-1.

When Guyer and Austin next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Guyer will take on Clear Springs and their four-game winning streak at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
