Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Bluff Tigers vs. Spring Garden Panthers

Cedar Bluff is 0-10 against Spring Garden since January of 2020 but things could change on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cedar Bluff Tigers duke it out with the Spring Garden Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Cedar Bluff is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Cedar Bluff turned things around against Pleasant Valley on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 53-52 victory over the Raiders.

Cedar Bluff's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shon Gleen, who went 7 of 14 en route to 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Gleen's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolwyn Morrison, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Spring Garden put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Cleburne County with points to spare, taking the game 80-62.

Spring Garden's win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Cedar Bluff, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Cedar Bluff came up short against Spring Garden in their previous meeting back in January, falling 50-38. Can Cedar Bluff avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
